Poseidon, the god of the sea in ancient mythology, commands the ocean's might and mysteries. He is known for his formidable control over waters, storms, and sea creatures. On the chessboard, Poseidon brings the depth and unpredictability of the ocean, making strategic waves that can shift the tides of the game in his favor.
Like the traditional king, Poseidon can move one square in any direction. However, his command over water grants him the unique ability to traverse through any line of pawns, friend or foe, as if moving through water, emerging on the other side on his next move.
Once per game, Poseidon can use his trident to summon a 'Tidal Wave', shifting all pieces (except kings and queens) one square in any chosen direction, provided the destination square is unoccupied. This ability reflects his dominion over the seas, capable of altering the positions on the board like shifting tides, potentially disrupting the opponent's strategy while opening new pathways for his own forces.
